Omni Serv Selected to Provide Shuttle Services for Heathrow Passengers
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ABM
(NYSE:ABM), a leading provider of facility solutions,
announced that Air Serv's United Kingdom subsidiary, Omni Serv, has been
awarded a contract to partner with London Heathrow Airport Limited on
the European travel hub's inter terminal bus services, which connect
passengers between the airport's four - and soon to be five - terminals.
Air Serv is an ABM Company.
The five-year contract, which began April 1, comes on the heels of Omni
Serv's recent contract to partner with Heathrow on its Passenger
Service Ambassador Program, along with its contract to provide
assistance to passengers with reduced mobility. With 1,400 employees now
servicing Heathrow's multiple terminals, Omni Serv has the opportunity
to positively impact Heathrow's traveler experience at every touchpoint
throughout the airport.
"We are delighted to expand upon our tremendous relationship with London
Heathrow Airport," said Omni Serv Chairman Ernie Patterson. "Omni Serv
is going through an exciting period of development, and this contract
further solidifies our goal to enhance the end-to-end Heathrow passenger
experience, whether passengers are departing, arriving or connecting."
Due to the logistical complexities of inter terminal transportation,
Omni Serv leveraged the expertise of its sister division, ABM Parking
Services, which has built a reputation in the United States for
providing world-class shuttle services to travelers in some of the
country's largest and busiest airports, including: Dallas, Denver,
Sacramento, Orlando, LA/Ontario and San Francisco among others. ABM is
proud to extend its airport transportation and parking expertise into
Europe in the company's effort to provide industry-leading solutions
across the globe for the aviation industry.
Mark Hicks, Head of Passenger Support Services, Heathrow Airport, said:
"We enjoy a long-standing relationship with Omni Serv and are delighted
to extend our partnership further by awarding our inter terminal bus
contract to them. We look forward to working closely with Omni Serv and
its ambassadors to further enhance the excellent service Heathrow
Airport has to offer in making every journey better."
